Meet Alex

Photographer

Growing up, I was always drawn to creative activities. Whether it was sketching the flowers in my grandmothers garden or writing stories about all sorts of things, I was fueled by imagination. Fast-forward to today, and it really only makes sense that photography became my passion! My great-grandparents were both avid photographers, and each of their cameras adorns my favorite bookshelf as a reminder of where this passion was born.

I was born and raised in Tennessee, with stops along the way in Georgia and South Carolina, and have an immense love for all things Southern. Sweet tea, Spanish moss, Southern accents, hospitality everywhere you turn -- all of these things (and so many more) are deeply rooted in my heart. I was taught to love people for being exactly who they are and to show grace and kindness without exception.

My husband, Sean, and I were married in 2010. He is my favorite person in the entire world and being his wife is such a dream. He is warm, gets along with every one, and is also, quite literally, the smartest person I've ever met. I call him "Seanface" and he calls me "Cookie". He is an engineer and an author, and doing life with him is an immense joy. Out of everyone I would want to work with me on a wedding day, he would absolutely be my first choice! If I have a need on the wedding day, he has already anticipated it. If theres a detail that hasn't gotten quite enough attention from me, he is on it. His eye for catching moments is incredible and his kind heart is such a blessing. For all these reasons and many more, he is my husband, my best friend, and my second shooter.

Lastly, and at the absolute pinnacle of importance, is God. There are never enough words and ways to describe the glorious grace and love that are at the heart of this relationship, so I will borrow from John and describe it this way: "If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written."
